STAFFORD TIMBERLAND

We are proud of our 20+ year track record of providing timberland exposure to our clients through diverse investment opportunities. We do this through the following arrangements:

  • by providing liquidity to Limited Partners in existing timberland funds through the secondary market,
  • as an additional source of equity for timberland managers through co-investment opportunities
  • as a source of equity for new timberland funds, and
  • as a source of equity for new afforestation, reforestation and improved forest management projects with carbon credit generation potential.

INVESTING IN TIMBERLAND

Global demand for industrial roundwood is accelerating exponentially and the FAO expects global demand between 2020-2050 to double that experienced in the previous 30 years[1].

This has largely been driven by macrotrends such as:

  • population growth
  • urbanisation
  • rising standard of living
  • wood’s scope in global decarbonisation

Investing in responsibly managed timberlands to support the growing demand for wood can be a long-term strategic investment for institutions seeking stable, uncorrelated returns and tangible climate mitigation benefits.
